Associates acquire the majority of their knowledge about healthcare leadership from experiential learning on the floor of their assigned hospitals. Under the guidance of a mentor, each Associate may gain exposure to hospital operations, manage clinical and non-clinical departments, collaborate with key staff, participate in developing business strategies and initiatives, and more.
Each Associate’s individual responsibilities will be determined by the mentor, facility needs and the Associate’s prior experience. All tasks and responsibilities focus on skills that will be required of Associates as the prepare for an executive-level position within HCA.
